Comments: AFNI requires some knowledge of C-shell scripting to use, but it is an extremely accessible tool. The program is customizable and has an active user community that are extremely prolific. It is an excellent imaging tool. -

Comments: It's cool, if you really enjoy unix. Essentially no usable UI. Math is valid. File naming conventions are... unique. Clings obtusely to .brik and .head files. -

Comments: This program requires a little more time to familiarize yourself with it than others, but there is a reward, in that it is extremely flexible. -

Comments: possibly the most comprehensive analysis package available...although the learning curve is probably a little steeper than for some of the other packages, it is well worth the effort -

Comments: Graphics are better than other platforms. Documentation is not complete and there are limited peer reviewed publications of their their methods. Having source code in C (and not open) makes it hard to know exactly what's going on or to interface with other programs. -

Comments: Overall -- It has a little bit of a learning curve since it is entirely command line based, but its functions are transparent and it does literally what you tell it to. Long-term -- I like the tools provided by SPM better in some realms, but it is much easier to do connectivity and non-GLM analyses on Fmri data on this platform -

Comments: Overall -- There is a definite learning curve if not familiar with unix commands but once familiar its very easy to use Installation -- online instructions were very helpful and had no problems with installation Documentation -- overall the documentation was helpful but taking a course definitely helped as well Long-term -- Due to the multiple user options and parameters the software can work for almost anything Feature Requests -- overall i am happy with all the features for the types of analyses i do -
