HI-SPEED Software Packets contain (1) unconstrained and constrained nonlinear least squares diffusion tensor estimation techniques, (2) 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional analytical (Shepp-Logan) magnetic resonance imaging phantoms in both the Fourier and image domains, (3) techniques for reporting the underlying signal-to-noise ratio in magnetic resonance (MR) images, (4) Probabilistic Identification and EStimation of NOise (PIESNO)---a technique for identifying noise-only pixels and estimating the underlying noise standard deviation in MR images, and (5) a signal-transformational technique for breaking the noise floor in MR images.
