The scripts implement the kCSD method described in the paper "Kernel Current Source Density Method" [Potworowski et al., Neural Computation (2012) 24, 541-575], for voltage data recorded using laminar (1D) or planar (2D) multielectrodes with arbitary distribution of contacts
Purpose
The scripts implement the kCSD method described in the paper "Kernel Current Source Density Method (kernel CSD)" [Potworowski et al., Neural Computation (2012) 24, 541-575], for voltage data recorded using laminar (1D) or planar (2D) multielectrodes with arbitary distribution of contacts. The scripts have been divided into two folders depending on the dimensionality of the task.
At the moment, the 2D scripts are more mature and they include the cross-validation and ridge regression that adress the problem of noise in the data. Also, a set of diagnostic and visualization tools is included. Full HTML documentation is available, including a tutorial.
One-dimensional scripts are less developed but provided here for convenience of users. Ridge regression and cross validation have not been implemented yet. We plan to release a more complete version soon. Write us if you need it more urgently. Also the more experimental code for 3D setup is available per request and will be provided in the future versions of the software.
