Comments: There are new videos that have helped a lot with understanding some of the higher level uses of the software: http://www.cabiatl.com/mricro/mricron/examples/ More of this would be great, but this let me do what I needed to. -

Comments: Straightforward and can render many maps with very little problem. Has a great-looking, high-quality rendering surface that can be manipulated by dragging with the mouse (as well as through manual settings). Settings can also be changed very easily. Seems to be much more computer-resource efficient than earlier members of the Mricron-family. Does not support a variable search depth which may be a surprise for users of Mricron, which did support this. -

Comments: This tool needs documentation! It took me three hours to learn how to draw ROIs, p.s. it is hidden in the preferences box. -

Comments: MRIcron is much more difficult to use than the previous version (MRIcro). The documentation is lacking in many ways. The tool has limited functionality beyond the viewing of images. -

Comments: Great documentation online. dcm2nii is the best tool I've found for diffusion imaging DICOM conversion. I like this instead of FSLView for doing simple overlays of stat maps. I especially like that you can give it a list of slice numbers and it will automatically generate an image with the specified slices and an extra orthogonal one with lines marking which slices. -

Comments: The mac version of this program is not quite as good as the pc version, as it is not possible to get the names of brain areas as is possible on the pc version. -

Comments: very good with small odities. I've only used it for linux, and a couple of features such as yolking multiple instances is missing, which is a shame. -
