neuranim
Object Tabs
NeurAnim is a research aid for computational neuroscience
Purpose
Neuranim can be used to visualise the results of computational neuroscience simulations as well as experimental data. The specification of the model architecture is read from a neuroML description and visualised in 3D using the openGL extensions to Nokia's Qt. Simulation data can be visualised in color changes of shown neurons and movie frames can be recorded during animation. The software allows full interaction with the visualisation including rotations, zoom in/out, translations and changes in the representation of neurons and synapses. It also provides a scripting language to produce targeted movement animations during the replay of simulation data.

neuranim has been tested for Linux, Windows and MacOS. The most recent versions should be compiled from source which requires a recent installation of Qt and qwt. Some binaries will be made available on the sourceforge website occasionally. Here we only provide a binary for Windows as the build process on Windows is slightly more involved.Ease of Use
