neuroConstruct has been designed to simplify creation, visualisation, simulation and analysis of complex networks of biologically realistic neurons, i.e. models incorporating dendritic morphologies and realistic cell membrane conductances. It can automatically generate scripts for the [NEURON](http://software.incf.net/software/neuron/home NEURON), [GENESIS](http://software.incf.net/software/genesis/home GENESIS), [MOOSE](http://software.incf.net/software/moose-2/home MOOSE) and [PSICS](http://www.psics.org PSICS) simulation environments, and generate code for [PyNN](http://software.incf.net/software/pynn/home PyNN) compliant simulators.
It supports all levels of the [NeuroML](http://software.incf.net/software/neuroml/home NeuroML) model description language.
