Simulation and analysis scripting environment environment for dynamical systems models of biophysical systems (ODEs, DAEs, maps, and hybrid systems)
Supports symbolic math expressions and modular template descriptions for building complex models, optimization/parameter estimation, numerical continuation, bifurcation analysis, data analysis (e.g. dimension estimation), and other features. There are toolboxes specifically for computational neuroscience applications (geared to small networks), e.g. phase planes, phase response curves, multi-compartment neuron and network templates.
PrerequirementsAll platforms. Python + Numpy + Scipy needed. Matplotlib recommended. Optional C compiler to use the fast ODE integrators.
